In addition to a pretty  village location the cottage benefits from being only a short distance from excellent shopping facilities in Macclesfield with both Tesco and Sainsbury superstores and the promise of a new Debenhams in the future. There is a regular bus service between Whaley Bridge and Macclesfield that stops almost outside the cottage.

For the outdoor enthusiast the cottage sits on the border of the Peak district national park and the Gritstone trail is literally two mins away. The cottage is positioned with lovely views of the Bollin valley and Kerridge with its well known White Nancy landmark.

For anyone who needs to commute there is a main line railway station in Macclesfield giving the option of London in just 2 hours 17 minutes or Manchester in 25 minutes. Manchester City Centre is accessible by car in approximately 45-50 minutes.

For the sports enthusiast there are the big two Manchester football clubs as well as many lower league clubs, in addition there is Premiership Rugby Union in Sale Sharks 30 minutes away plus all the Super League rugby league clubs within an easy commute.
